Pure speculation, but I say he's gone--especially with a good showing in the SB. We're still in good shape with MF and RP, but darnit I'm going to miss JR.
I live in Mobile and his Uncle Ray Ray who is a non-sports radio personality was on the local sports show last week. He all but said that JR was leaving. When talking about next year, he said that MF will be the starter in the beginning, because he has earned it by staying loyal to the program. He did not say that JR would be the starter next year, but MF would. Some low class Bama fan called in during the show and asked what JR did with the $$ he received from LSU for signing. The show cut him off quickly.
Re: I live in Mobile and his Uncle Ray Ray With the dirth of talent in the NFL at the Quarterback position maybe JR and Matt Flynn sould both volunteer for the draft. There are some weak armed quarterbacks filling rosters this year. I saw two on the field for the Dolphins last night.
I would be amazed if he is at LSU next year. He is expected to go high in the draft, and that kind of an opportunity is just too hard to pass up.
Which is a testament to the guy, what with all of the naysayers throughout the season(s.) Let's see how many jump on his bandwagon now. Geaux JR! :thumb:
Re: I live in Mobile and his Uncle Ray Ray Word is JR has donated the money to Alabama to help them find a "good" coach for their football team. No applications are currently being rejected. Yes the search for Alabama's football coach is like a box of chocolates, they melt under heat and then you are stuck licking whats left of them off of the floor.
