I heard that since we played MSU on LF we can refuse the LF broadcast for Nov 11... but how is that possible? If CBS and the two ESPN's don't pick us can we really say "thanks but no thanks" to LF and force ESPN to broadcast the game or would it then be a situation where LSU elects to go without a TV broadcast in favor of a night game? Is there really a rule that says "LSU can't be on LF more than once"? Other teams get on LF multiple times. Can someone shed some light on this issue, hopefully with a link that explains it (yea, i saw the small blurb on lsusports.net).
The TV contract requires all schools to play at least one LF game at home, if selected. Once that is satisfied, schools can say no thank you. LSU has done that in the past. I seriously doubt the Bama game will be passed over by CBS, ESPN and ESPN2. But if it is, I think they'll say no to LF.
Does anybody know the exact order they get to pick in? I've heard conflicting stories... The first one is: 1. CBS 2. ESPN 3. ESPN2 4. LF The second one is: 1. CBS 2. ESPN 3. LF 4. ESPN2 Here are the games that day: Arkansas-Tennessee South Carolina-Florida Auburn-Georgia LSU-Alabama There really isn't much difference between any of those games, so it is hard to predict the order they will be taken. I listed them in the order of my prediction.
I believe the order is 1. CBS 2. ESPN 3. ESPN2 4. LF So if gets to LF, and we turn them down, the only TV would be Tigervision or the Internet.
The order is CBS, ESPN, LF, ESPN2. Found this a few years ago. The Florida Gators Fan Guide briefly explains how the SEC picks TV games. It's in .pdf format and starts on page 3. SEC TV Package EDIT: Sorry, it's ESPN2, then LF
