1. I usually pull for the SEC in bowl games, but do we really want to see Florida win a title? Will it give them a recruiting bonanza and hurt our chances of beating them? Miles is pulling for Ohio State, but is that because we would stand a better chance in finishing #2? I am not concerned whether we are #2 or 3, but I am concerned about our recruiting and Florida's recruiting. Who are you pulling for in the championship game?
  2. Geaux Buckeyes!

and it has nothing to do with recruiting, conference recognition, etc etc.. All that talk is silly at best. I don't like Florida at any other time of the year so I am not going to set aside one day like today to like them.
  3. If we're gonna boast that the SEC's the toughest conference, we need an occasional champion. I'd rather see the trophy rest in the SEC than the Big 11.

I'm not too worried about recruiting. I think we'll still get a few good ones outta Fla. now and again as we've done in recent years whether they win or lose.
  4. We'll be doing the CHOMP over here to.......having a supper with some friends over.
  5. Didn't you see last night on ESPN? The Big east is the best conference. They're 5-0 in bowl games this year.

Like I said, that talk is silly at best.
  6. I don't want to hear any talk from the Gators about how they dominated both sports. Especially not after they could be seen and heard pulling for Texas A&M in Jacksonville during the tournament.

    Geaux Buckeyes!
  7. Like you, I pull for the SEC.

My long-term goal is to see at least a 4-team playoff system (ideally 6, 8, or 16 teams), however. So I wonder if Ohio State winds up handily beating Florida, would that help the chances of a playoff system? I think it's possible, because Michigan didn't show they were worthy in the Rose Bowl, USC lost to two unranked teams in the regular season, LSU lost two games on the road to ranked teams, Boise State is undefeated against a pretty weak schedule (pre-bowl game at least). Wisconsin only lost one game. All in all, it adds up to a credible debate about who really deserves to play for the championship. That may add up to a 4 team playoff system.

On the other hand, if Florida wins, maybe after seeing Michigan lose the USC, people will think that the system got the top 2 teams right. Boise State and the one-loss teams may disagree, of course.
  8. I always pull for the SEC. I generally prefer SEC over other conferences. Although I like OSU, Id rather see Florida win it. It will actually make LSU look better being from the same conference. It makes that loss not look quite as bad.
  9. I always pull for the SEC. Anything that makes the SEC stronger helps when rankings are made. LSU has done so well with 2 losses this year because our two losses were SEC losses and the SEC is percieved to be a very strong conference.
  10. Im sick of these idiot announcers hyping the Big Ten because they are 2-0 so far in head to head match ups. I knew Ark/Wisconsin was pretty much a toss up game, but Tn was a big disappointment losing to Penn St. I dont wanna hear Herbie braging how OSU is so much better than everyone else or the Big Ten is the better conference. Flutie was getting to be just as bad.
