    Barriers like....you know, a job, money, credit-worthiness.

I also love how he calls Fanny Mae a "company". Last time I check an actual business or "company" actually has to worry about making money, or at the very least not losing money.

Deregulation is fine as long a the inmates are not running the asylum. There were many things that went wrong here from both sides of the aisle, but my point was that Obama's hands are just as dirty, if not dirtier, than anyones'.

At least McCain is actively seeking solutions. Obama is laying low and blaming Bush.

We disagree obviously. Laying low, I dont think so, he has been active with his party on pushing towards a solution and trying to get votes, not up to political tricks like suspending his campaign to go back to Washington immediately after some interviews and not delivering his party on a crucial vote.

That is not at all what happened. If McCain hadn't gone to the White House and met with key Republicans and Bush advisors, we'd all be saddled with a $700B dollar bill right now.

Obama? Call if you need me.

Then why was Bush disappointed when it didnt pass the House, if McCain met with Bush and his advisors. So you are saying Bush secretly wanted the bill to fail the first vote?

Your not making any sense to me now. Taxpayers are already on the hook for the other companies the govt' has bailed out so far. should I name them for you?

seriously busted old timer. you havent been eating from aluminum, have you?

"By mid-afternoon, Mr. McCain’s closest adviser, Mark Salter, told reporters that Mr. McCain would not go to Capitol Hill on Saturday but would make phone calls to try to push the deal along. “He’s calling members on both sides, talking to people in the administration, helping out as he can,’’ Mr. Salter said.

Asked why Mr. McCain did not go to Capitol Hill after coming back to Washington to help with negotiations, Mr. Salter replied that “he can effectively do what he needs to do by phone.’’ "
