Here's the list of quality teams AU has beat. 1) LSU. This game was at their place. LSU has struggled against Oregon St., Troy St, and Vandy. The game was decided in the last seconds. Very even game overall. 2)TN. I think it's fare to say AU dominated this game but how good was TN? TN struggled against FL, Ole Miss and lost to Notre Dame. Their schedule and wins overall have been less than impressive: UNLV (Sun.) WON 42-17 FLORIDA WON 30-28 LOUISIANA TECH WON 42-17 AUBURN LOST 10-34 Georgia WON 19-14 Mississippi WON 21-17 ALABAMA WON 17-13 South Carolina WON 43-29 NOTRE DAME LOST 13-17 3)GA. Some might say GA was Auburn's most impressive win because they are the highest rated team they beat. In actuality, GA's only impressive win has been against LSU. A game which many say GA had circled before the season started. GA struggled against South Carolina, Marshall, Arkansas and FL. Georgia So. W 48-28 South Carolina W 20-16 Marshall W 13-3 LSU W 45-16 4-0 Tennessee L 19-14 Vanderbilt W 33-3 Arkansas W 20-14 Florida1 W 31-24 Kentucky W 62-17 Auburn L 24-6 4) Outside of the 3 quality teams AU has played here's the remaining teams. Most of these teams are crappie. One or two might be considered mediocre. They all have one thing in common and that's losing records. LOUISIANA-MONROE Mississippi State THE CITADEL LOUISIANA TECH ARKANSAS KENTUCKY Mississippi I just can't see AU using a schedule strength argument to get them into the Orange Bowl.
A 10-win season in a tough league like the SEC is always impressive. Auburn has beaten three ranked teams. Their cupcake opponents are no worse than anybody elses.
Yeh very impressive, this is the SEC, they didnt get to play Stanford, Arizona, etc etc. They have beaten 3 ranked teams. Two of them handidly... Yes very impressive and if they win out and dont get to play in the big game it is a travesty.. Keep in mind if The win out, they will accomplish something we didnt last year. Go undefeated in the SEC..... Way I see it, LSU was the best team in the nation last year at the end of the season, with USC struggling to beat two very poor teams and OU a couple plays away from 2 losses. Auburn to me is the best team this year. Regardless of our disdain for tubs, Auburn is pretty darn good this year. With that said, this is their only chance, next year they will have tough time not losing 3-4 games.
When Auburn, and others, alluded to the cupcakes on our schedule last year most of us were quick to point to the SEC games we had to win. And we even lost one of them. Don't try to put a negative spin on Auburn's season to date. It is what it is.
The SOS will prove itself out including what the opponents opponents do. AU is one of the best teams in the nation right now.
Dude, Auburn sucks ass and shouldn't be ranked near the top 20. I mean, they have "Tubberville" as their coach and he can't win jack crap. He's good for at least 6 losses a year.
Watch out next year burner, no campbell, no caddy, no ronny... what yall lose like 11 starters... pray for Brandon Cox
Some of us did defend the barners. That said, beware of the Bammers. Their defense is made to give your guys fits. If you get by them, I see those freakin' orange and blue shakers all over the Orange Bowl.
Iron Bowl, yes. "Throw out the record books, anything can happen...yada yada freakin yada." From your POV, just look at the matchup. Name a SINGLE area of UAT's game that Auburn should be really worried about? Yes, it is possible that Auburn could lose to UAT. But from what all the two teams have done over the entire season, what advantage could UAT have, in any category? Didn't they lose their fullback last night with a sprained ankle? Who's going to block for their only offense in Darby? They can't throw it. What are they going to do?? Personally, I think they'd need to dig the Bahr up to win this one. I hope we kill them worse than we did UT and UGA.
