I know we still have a couple of top people to sign the next couple of days. If Nick leaves will some people de-committ?

We need to lock him down once and for all.

AS long as he stays it will not hurt. If indeed he does leave and they replace him with a quality coach quickly it probably wouldn't hurt recruiting much if at all. People are stressing too much about the possibility of him leaving. We go through this every year, he will either stay or he will go life goes on either way. I would love for him to stay forever but either way we are in much much better shape because he came and if he leaves we are in better shape to get another high quality coach to replace him.

I think the recruits trust what Saban says himslef, more that what ESPN has to say about it. We should all do the same, unless of course you think he is a liar.

if Saban leaves...im very confident that we would get another great coach.

season after a national championship, constant top 3 recruiting classes (many thanks to superior talent in La), and a coach could be the highest paid coach in the nation here.

looks a lot better than Bama's situation last spring

I imagine these recruits, like Sanders and Doucet, are asking Saban if he'll be back next year before they commit. I can't imagine them committing without feeling good about Saban returning.

All these rumors have yet to hurt recruiting and Saban seems to use this to his advantage. Now if Saban leaves, then will probably lose a few recruits.

In 2002 recruiting season he didn't come out publicly and say anything and he said that was a mistake. This year he has said over and over again that he loves LSU, wants this to be just the begining of the run, etc, and he came out last night on his own just to deny that he personally had talked to the Falcons and Bears at this time. He never says never and he shouldn't, that's what Dietzel did and the fans hated him for it when he left. Anway, look at the committments we have received and judge for yourself.
