Is Alabama eligible to win the West this year?

    Or, are they still on probation, prohibiting them from playing for the conference championship?

    No not this year. I think it is next year when they are back in the race.

    Yeah, just in time for all those scholarship reductions to really take their toll...

    Alabama has 2 less on scholarship than Auburn and Auburn isn't on probation, yet.

    Alabama is still under ncaa sanctions of no championships or bowl games this year. We will be able to sign 19 this Feburary. The next season we return to the full 25 scholarships, 85 roster limit and can compete for the SEC and BCS along with playing in a Bowl game.

    But that trip to Hawaii at the end of November is better than a trip to Shreveport in December. And Hawaii pays for the trip.

    you keep on tellin' yourself that...i'd much rather be playing in late december/early january than watching it on TV

    congrats on your 'free' trip to hawaii and congrats on losing to an all-girls school this weekend

    AuNuma1...Although I never like losing to Auburn, I would have much rather lost that game last year and be in the position we are in right now than to have won that game last season and be in your position right now...
