Ironic (EVERYONE READ) Funny how well we've become accustomed to winning big, and putting up an outrageous amount of points on the scoreboard, and watching an offense move down field easily either running or passing, and the one time we don't have that, we (MYSELF INCLUDED), fly off the deep end. Take Ramah for instance. He's already kicking us out of a, STILL mathematically possible title game birth, because our offense stunk the high-hell tonight. Well...After getting upset and venting, I started thinking and said to myself, "Wait a freak'n minute!! What are we all depressed about--and already throwing in the towel at the possibility of missing out on a title game because we had an off night offensively against the #15 ranked team in the nation, for?!?!" Tiger fans...this is NOTHING to worry about. We can win 2 more games in the ugliest way possible, yet 2 more wins gives us an SEC championship, a guranteed BCS bowl, 2 (possibly even THREE) wins over 3 top-25 teams in our last 3 weeks of the season and in a possible jump in the BCS to #2! NO ONE can say, "Oh, because we didn't blow them out of the water...." crap. THAT'S WHY they TOOK OUT "margin of victory" from the BCS formula. Look, guys and gals, if winning a ball game in which your offense sucked kept you out of the national title game, then Ohio State would STILL be without a championship, and they WOULD NOT have been in position to play for a 2nd one this late in the season. We had an "OHIO STATE PERFORMANCE-WIN" tonight. And if those kinds of wins were good enough to get the Buckeyes a national title last year, then it's good enough for me this year for our Tigers. If we were all willing to dismiss a season because of a bad outting like this, then we had all better thank God we weren't born Ohio State fans--because we'd surely never make it--We'd be miserable. :geaux:
No matter what happens with the rest of the year, I'm proud to call myself an LSU Tiger. We are 10-1 going into the last game of the regular season. Does anyone remember the last time we were in this positon??? I sure don't. Remember Kentucky last year? This game almost turned into that for Ole Miss. Now, imagine if they had scored a TD on that last pass........... imagine how disgusted we'd all be right now. But guess what. WE WON!!!!! GO TO HELL OLE MISS!!!!!!!
Forget the polls We have to win out for any of this to matter..... Our offense has to play better in the seccg or its not going to matter they have to play better than they have all year
Anybody can have an off night. Happens all the time. When LSU can throw 3 interceptions, drop a half-dozen passes, forget "hut-two" and still win the game, they are a damn good team. This is a damn good LSU team. Arkansas is in some deep kim-chee.
Sorry Red, Our offense seems to have at least one off quarter a week They also had an off game against Fla. Some of us realize around here that if they don't get it together we may not win after the Arkansas game. I'm hoping the D is enough to win out the rest of the way because they NEVER have an off night. I would also say this is a damn good LSU team
Looks to me like the offense was out of sync again after the bye week. Mauck seemed to really struggle mentally in the game and had little to no confidence while throwing the ball. He really got rattled following the first INT. I think that's why Jimbo went to the look around and tuck it if you don't see anything approach. Remember, that following the UF loss, we came out focused and steaming. Look for that to happen again on Friday against Ark. The D was AWESOME tonight. They just won't give up on any play. Geaux Tigers! Let's eat some Hog on Friday!!
Saban will have the team ready to beat up on Ark. This was almost FLa game antoher wake up call on focus and bringing the A game no worries
