Yes this coaching staff coached like they had much more important things on their mind. Did we have an offensive game plan at all?

I agree on congrats owed to Iowa who outplayed us for the bulk

of the game. It looks like a blown coverage at the end to lose, although there were a lot of questionable calls earlier in the game.

they did play well, could have gone either way. If we would have won this post would say ......LSu deserved to win....... it's all relative. ( to who wins )

yeah, for any Iowa lurkers out there, congrats!

Drew Tate is flat out sweet. So young and so physically unintimidating, but he can play him some football, no question.

See you in the preseason top ten next year!

Iowa definitely has a lot to look forward to next year, as do we. Great game for college football but the ending certainly hurts for LSU fans.

Kudos to Iowa and their fans.

Yes. Iowa is an outstanding football team.

I also believe that Iowa's coaching staff is better than LSUs. Yes, that's what I said . . . Ferentz is a better HC than Saban.

LSU clearly has more talent than Iowa, but the better coached and better motivated team won.

The way LSU played today, and has played all year makes one wonder if Mr. Saban has been thinking of jumping ship from the very first ballgame played this year. That would explain a lot about the non-focus of the team and coaches. Don’t get me wrong, 9-3 is a great season. I really had no expectations of another championship this year. But…… I just really didn’t feel the love from the coaches this year like I did last year. :( I sure hope that changes with the new coach. I must say I am looking forward to next year and the start of the new football season in 2005. I wonder what LSU will do. :geaux: and as always I am proud of you.

Yes indeed, Iowa has the horses up front to compare with LSU but no where near the skill players yet our staff had no clue how to utilize our skilled players. No matter who comes in as HC Jimbeaux must Geaux!!!!!!

There's a lot of disappointment today. A 9-3 record is still something to be proud of. I think the character of the team more than the coaching is the reason why we were able to win 9 games and stage some great comebacks late in games. Shoot, we almost did it today. There were some mental mistakes though, such as Russell spiking it on first and goal. Taking the necessary time off the clock at that point wouldn't have allowed Iowa enough time to win it. I don't understand the blown coverage though -- shouldn't there have been one or two DB's playing very deep anyway to prevent something like that? I guess the lessons from the Arky game a couple of years ago weren't learned so well. It just seems to me that some of the coaching decisions were suspect today.
