Iowa DB Arrested for Assault

    I hate to see incidents like this when they give great programs a black eye, but I thought it was worth posting.

    I thought this was about the non-holding calls and the Chuck and pray pass in the Cap One Bowl.... That was assault wasnt it ????

    Well, as crimes for football players go, at least the DB hit somebody hard. Much better than when your WR gets caught from behind by a band member.

    Oh, and just so there's no possible confusion...THIS WAS SARCASM

    I do hope that if he gets suspended from the team for any length of time, Iowa has the paperwork ready to ask the NCAA to extend his elegibility. Medical hardship, of course!

    This incident happened back in November. The kid who took the punch just lately decided to make an issue of it.


    It was Antwan Allen, one of our starting db's. Most Hawk fans are surprised.... not because kids fight... but because Allen likes to play so far off receivers, we're amazed he got close enough to land a punch.

    But, yes, a black eye indeed.
    Along with our star BB guard now kicked off the team, this has not been a good week for Hawkeye fans.
