In their quickhits section for this weekend's games, they reported this about Saint Nick:

LSU coach Nick Saban gave out "victory" cigars to a couple of reporters who predicted the Tigers would lose to Auburn ...

If this is true, it is greatness.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAINT NICK!

From what I understand, coach Saban spoke with Tuberville and Tuberville asked him to give cigars to the two local reporters that picked Auburn to win.

It looks like the coaches are joking about it now and things are simmering down between Auburn and LSU as far as the nastiness goes.

Actually, the cigars were from Michael Bonnette, the SID. They were from the birth of his son 6 years ago, but Saban joked that Tommy told him to give them to the reporters.

Those cigars have been in Tubby's desk drawer for a long time. I think he was saving them for when he won the SEC Championship :)

Just curious. The first time I heard anything about Nick & Tubby being good friends was this past week. Do you think that is why both kneeled when in each victory the winning team had the ball inside the 15? Stevie boy would have put it in the air my friend.
