In my drive back to Dallas today, I was listening to the radio and they had a guy on there that had been polling Iraqis. He said that his group had just finished polling Iraq and that 60% of the Iraq's believe that they are better off now than pre-war. 70% say that they will be even better off in a year from now. Unfortunately for you attackers, I don't have a link yet as I listened to this on the radio...But just thought I would post something for us to chew on....
link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A63009-2004Apr8.html "For the first time in living memory, Iraqis feel optimistic. According to a recent Oxford Research International poll, 56.5 percent of Iraqis said their lives were much better or somewhat better than a year ago. Only 18.6 percent said they were much or somewhat worse. And 71 percent expect their lives will be much or somewhat better a year from now"
Thanks Martin....I think the real issue isn't just the 57% of Iraqis that feel better off. The real issue is the fact that the % has grown since last year and the year before....It's a positive sign that Iraqis understand that they life is getting better and that we aren't there to shove Americanism down their throats....
Exactly...I heard this on Sirius Satellite Radio.... But if the poll had said: 40% of Iraqis believe that they are no better off than pre-war, ABC NBC and CBS would have been ALL OVER IT....
Here is the whole poll. Draw your own conclusions. http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/15_03_04_iraqsurvey.pdf Looks to me like the Iraqis are very split on every issue.
