There were 39 combat killings in Iraq during the month of January... In The city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the same month. That's just one American city, about as dead;y as the entire war torn country of Iraq. So President Bush should not have started this war... FDR led us into WWII.Germany never attacked us Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 ;ives were lost, an average of 112,000 per year. Truman finished the war and started another one in KOrea, North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost an average of 18,334 per year. JFK started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned nam into a quaqmire. From 1965-1975 58,000 lives were lostan average of 5,800 per year. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, NBosnia never attacked us. He was offered OBL on a platter 3 times by the Sudan and did nothing. In the 2 years since terrorist have attacked our homeland President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the taliban, crippled al-qida, put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. Democrats are talking about how long this war is taking. It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was 51 days. We have beeb looking in a country for WMD for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose law firm billing records. It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the marines to destroy the Median Republican gaurd than it took Ted ennedy to call the police after his olds sank i Cahppaquiddick. It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Fla. So where is the biased media on these events. One sided. I just hope the american voting public is not too ignorant to realize the facts. :usaflagwa
Wow. This is really one of the most interesting statistics I have seen about the War in Iraq. It really puts things in perspective. Thanks!
I did not know that there are 'approx 25 million' US citizens in Iraq. Last I saw the number of troops was closer to the 150K mark but I guess I was wrong. The statistics that he is quoting are the number of US combat deaths in Iraq during the month of January, 39. Compared to the number of murders in Detroit in the same month, 35. This implies a similarity between the numbers. What it doesn't tell you is that you are comparing a sample that size of 150K to a sample the size of 1 million. So yes 39 is very close to 35. Except for the fact that if citizens of Detroit were dying at the same rate as our soldiers in Iraq there would have been 260+ murders in the month of January. The fact that people on both sides are using the deaths of our soldiers and spinning them to meet their political goals makes me ill.
