    THE BIG EASY TURKEY ROASTER

    http://www.grilllovers.com/ecommerce/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductSeriesID=27130&sc=PRODUCT

NEW - Char-Broil's new infrared oil-less turkey fryer is the safe way to fry your turkey this Thanksgiving. And because it uses NO oil, it's healthier, too. Prepare your turkey with the same injectable marinade you already use, or use seasoned rubs on the outside, which is not an option with traditional fryers. The infrared heat circles the cooker to penetrate the meat evenly and seal in juices. The result is a bird that's moist inside and crispy outside but without the risk, hassle or added fat and calories of oil. Safely cook turkey, chicken, roasts and most large cuts of meat up to 16 pounds, all in about 8 to 10 minutes per pound. The Big Easy includes a cooking basket and meat thermometer and features: Enclosed burner design with 18,000 BTU's; Rotary Ignition; Cool-touch handles; Pull-out grease tray; Wipe-clean stainless steel cooking chamber. Measures 24.5"H x 21"W

I used one one weekend when we had to borrow our neighbors because ours died. It was this exact model (believe came from Lowes) and it did fine. It was a lot safer I guess but oil allows for way more taste and juice in the meat, especially in thicker pieces of meat.

To me, it is kind of like grilling steaks on a George Foreman. Other than the taste, everything about it is better, from the tray to how quick it heats up...which is what I assume they are advertising. Unfortunately consumers that fry birds dont care about that as much.

I suppose its just a fancy ron popeil roaster. no one who now fries turkeys will switch. it will be those who never tasted a fried one thinking they got a deal and probably brag its better.

you know like that relative we all have that buys a saturn and said he coulda got a bmw but this one drove better.

Cant tell, but is it propane or electric? Electric removes camping, fishing, fighting terrorist but leaves the dog house to question.
