Indicted cops turn themselves in, other officers show support

All I know about this is from what I have been reading on Nola.com.

Any of y'all that are down there have anyother news of what is going on?

 

I don't know if they're innocent or guilty but one thing is for certain...Eddie Jordan is an idiot and joins Kathleen Blanco, Mary Landrieu, Ray Nagin, and William Jefferson as embarrassments to the state of Louisiana.

When you're not good at your job or have a weak case, what do you do? Many will try to use the media to help their case. If I'm the defense, I move this case out of New Orleans and find a judge and jury that don't have an agenda.

 

The shot a retarded guy 5 times in the back. He had no weapon.

The sad part is the NO police dept cleared all of them after it happened.

I'm thinking the saddam treatment may be appropriate for some of these renegade cops.

 

Where did you get your information? Eddie Jordan claimed he was shot 7 times in the back. The Police Union said it was a single shotgun round that resulted in numerous wounds. Is there a difference?...DEFINITELY! Saying that someone was shot 5X or 7X as opposed to 1X, is definitely intended to do what it's doing which is playing this out in the media and getting the public to draw conclusions without knowing the facts.

Don't get me wrong. The NOPD has earned their reputation and should have to answer for their actions. What's interesting to see is how the ACLU and NAACP view this case. If all the police would've been white, there would be protests and riots regardless of the reason for shooting. They're being very cautious in their statements this time. Why? (Double standards are alive and well in America!) :usaflagwa

 

CNN had a copy of the coroner's report. Showed 7 shots, 5 of them in the back.

I have spoken with police officers who were helping to patrol the city shortly after Katrina. It was a war zone and thugs were trying to take over the city using weapons to keep the cops out. If every officer or military person who shot a thug at that point in time were indicted, there would be no cops left. The Saddam treatment was used on the gangs trying to take advantage of a bad situation, and deservedly so.

 

So you are saying this dude who was killed was nothing more than collateral damage? He had no thuggish history ... no arrest record.

NOPD has no credibility and a long history of shooting people, then asking questions. And covering it up.
