as seen on cbssportsline.com http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/gamecenter/recap/NCAAF_20050910_LSU@AZST "It's probably the best game I've ever been in so far, as far as competing and playing against a really good team," Keller said. "That's the fastest, best team I've ever seen." How about that? Wonder if USC takes offense...
Well this was only Kellers 3rd start so out of purdue, temple, and LSU. How could this not be the best team hes played against.
well, apart from him saying LSU is the best he's played against, he stated they are the best he's seen, but good point.
Keller seems to have very uncanny poise in the pocket.. part of the reason we coudl never get to him.. he floats around the pocket very Peyton-like...
This kid looks like a stud, too bad he had to sit behind Andrew Walter so long. I refuse to think that our pass defense is THAT bad, so USC watch out. Hopefully that will be USC's first of two trips to Sun Devil Stadium this year. I think the Fiesta Bowl has first choice of teams this year, so you know they'll be all over 2 loss USC. Couldn't pass up a chance to bash USC, but Keller really looks promising.
Look, Keller is a good QB. I'll give him that. He may be the 2nd best QB we face all year (Leak). But he sure as hell ain't no damn '460yds againts a D THAT physical and THAT fast' good. No way. He fell apart the few times he got pressure. Why we did not increase that number of occurences is completely beyond me. Let's not kid ourselves. If we play that soft against Clausen, he will put up similar numbers.
thats the thing. if you rewatch the game, even the times we had just token pressure on keller (where the tackles were pushing the O line a step or 2 back) he somewhat panicked and made bad throws. Obviously there was never enough of an outside rush during the game to disrupt his rhythm. I dont think I need to rehash the lack of a rush or disguise of a blitz. I think its been covered once or twice here since saturday.
