Now that we have taken care of business on the road against the "best D in the nation", we're sitting at 9-0, & 6 of those games were against ranked opponents. No other team in the country has had a schedule as tough as LSU has had up to this point. I've been reading some post from gump fans following some articles on al.com, & all they keep saying is if we do this, & they do this, then we might be able to make it to the NCG. I also watched a few videos of gump players making excuses, saying that they are still the best team in the country! HAHA! I'm so glad that's not us, having to hope things fall into place for us! Tis a glorious time for LSU fans! It's so nice to be able to take a deep breath & enjoy this win for at least a week. LSU's 3rd string could beat down the Hilltoppers! But after that, it's down to business as usual. We cannot look past Ole Miss. Nutt will try anything to keep his job, & knocking off the #1 team would be enough to keep him around. Also, ar-Kansas has been a thorn in our sides. LSU is 1-3 against them in the past 4 years!

BUT, this team is focused & on a mission, & after last night, my worries have ceased to exist! This is the most talented team I have ever seen at LSU! We will not be denied!

Arky will be a nightmare. We lose to arky and bama goes to the seccg and bcscg. We will have came this far and give it all away to the pigs. They will come to play. Chevis has hell with the pig offense. I don't know why but it's true. If we fail this year it will be at home to the pigs. I don't think that this team will allow that to happen. Last year if not for a busted coverage before halftime we would have won. I don't feel we will be asleep this year.
Wvu ate us up with the short pass. Arky will play off of wvu's success. We will see just how damn good our d backs are. Nickle nickle and more nickle defense.

    Guys

Bama was the best team in the country outside of LSU. We beat those guys at Bama ! Enjoy it and enjoy the moment. The Hogs will have to come to our house 3 weeks out. They don't have what they need to beat LSU.

    Enjoy the moment

Biggest difference between this year and last years Arkansas team is:
    1. Their offensive line is not very good as last year they were very good
    2. No kniles Davis

Not to mention that LSU this year is much much better than last years lsu team. As long as lsu is ready for the game and not sleep walking....they will be fine.

    I agree.

At least give it a week and enjoy the whitewashing of WKU.

Stop the Arky panic! We are 21 points better than they are. Look at how close their games are against bad teams.

We have them in Tiger Stadium, and it will be just like the AU game, so calm down and enjoy being number 1!!!!!!

Yeah, I ain't worried about it, especially right now. There will be time for that. We need to get some rest between now and the Ole Miss game and then finish strong. That is all.

One great article about miles saying this team has a destination.
He also gave each player a bat because they brought the wood!

Les Miles keeps LSU Tigers on track after defeating Alabama Crimson Tide - ESPN

    a quote from the article:

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Moments after No. 1 LSU defeated No. 2 Alabama 9-6 in overtime in the most anticipated game of the season Saturday night, Tigers coach Les Miles stood on a chair in his team's cramped locker room at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Holding a football in one hand and a baseball bat in the other, he commanded the attention of his celebrating team.

Les Miles addressed his team after its win over No. 2 Alabama.
"Pay attention!" he shouted, not once but twice. His players gathered around him, some standing, some taking a knee.

"On this team, character stood up and kicked their ass," Miles told his players, who responded with a thunderous roar.

"You brought the wood all night," Miles said. "You earned this."

A smaller wooden bat was left in each player's locker as a souvenir from a victory that put LSU in the driver's seat in the BCS national championship race.

I owe a son of a hog a little payback. He sent me a sorry for your loss and death of your season card last year when we lost to the pigs. I owe that pig.
