In playing Oklahoma, I HOPE that Skip and Co. learned its lesson with VTech ........

If LSU visits Norman FIRST, Skip and Co. BETTER build in at LEAST a $5 million buyout if Oklahoma refuses to come back for the return trip. There should be NO "outs" from this other than the entire country being demolished by a nuclear bomb.

We got SCREWED by VTech and, if we don't protect ourselves in the future, we'll have only ourselves to blame.

 

Or either have a $2,000,000 buyout so that we can make money off of em.

 

True but to be honest, OU does not cower from anyone. I am not sucking up to OU here, they are not more fearsome then our Tigers who ruled them in January (Sorry OU, that game should have been 28-7 you know it and so do we)

Anyway I digress.

But having seen what the program has accomplished, Many in the Big 12, and SEC dont cower to anyone.

If there is a game to be played OU will show up.

 

It's not a matter of cowering. It's about the Benjamins.

Once LSU visits Norman, if the buyout is $300-500,000, Oklahome will say, "Wait, we can pay off LSU, then pay a scrub $400,000 to come into Norman, and then make $2.5 million off the home date."

That's what VTech is doing.

 

I don't think Oklahoma would back down from a challenge.

 

I didn't think Virginia Tech had a buyout since they are still coming.

 

VT says they are coming here in 2007 but before you know it be summer 2007 and VT will end up backing out of the contract like the wimps they are. Then it will be ULL here we come.

 

I agree with you 100%, but you know the saying once bitten twice shy. I hope the Athletic Dept will put some teeth in the backout clause no matter who we are scheduled to play. :geaux: :lsug: :champs:

 

From what I'm hearing up here, the games aren't until 2010 & 2011...
