....but Faulk used to be able to catch those. Shep is a dynamic playmaker....once every 6 games. But consistent he is NOT.
As of now Shep isn't ready to be in this offense, maybe a STs player but not much else. Almost seems like he doesn't care whether he catches a pass or not. Maybe not his total fault, Billy G sure doesn't seem like he's bringing much to his position as a recievers coach with all the dropped passes tonight. Looks more like a coach just collecting a check.
I'd like to see him take some handoffs out of the backfield, not some gimmicky end around sh*t. Good defenses eat that sh*t up.
Beckham has shown me more during his first 4-games than Shep has during any 4-game stretch of his career.
R Shep Am I being too hard when I say I was disapointed? I know it's his first game but I defended him on here earlier and felt like he let me down. He continues to drop passes that aren't "easily" caught passes; however, they are "good" ones in that they're being put where the defenders can't catch them. I didn't think he gave 100% effort in trying to bring them in. EDIT: Sorry for being a dumbass. Please merge with the thread we already have on him.
He did have ONE spectacular catch where he leaped high into the air to pull it in. Other than that, he was really a non-factor.
By contrast a kid most had never heard of going into the season, O Beckham, has another great performance.
Shep is an athlete but not a wide receiver. His hands aren't that good. I'd prefer to have real wide receivers running those routes. Let Shep have his plays on screens, etc.
