I am very appreciative for everything Saban has done in his 5 years at LSU, but I do not think the university should allow him to coach in the bowl game. No matter how much he says he is 100% commited to the team, there is no way the team will now be 100% commited to him since he is in effect no longer a part of the team.

This drug out way to long, especially since he said he agreed in principle yesterday to coach the Dolphins. I wonder if he has told Skip yet, or just the team. I respect the man but think it is time for him to go.

I hope Skip steps up and relieves him of his duties tomorrow and allows Muschamp or Fisher to coach the bowl game.....unless they are jumping ship as well.

Thanks for the 5 years Nick! :thumb: :geaux:

ok i can see you point. But don't you think he has earned it? I do agree i don't think we will play hard for him. I hate to say this, but i could defantly see us losing this game now.

The team will want him to coach so I think that settles it.

it is not a question of what he has done for LSU...I have not said one negative thing about the man in this post. he is leaving, and it is time to move on....I think that means he leaves immediately for closure for both himself, LSU, and the fans.

Didn't he say he was going to Miami on Monday in the press conference?
    I thought I heard that.

wouldnt it be worse for the team to have to deal with not having the guy they are used to calling the shots? why make an unfamiliar sutuation when we can keep things solid for one last game?

He is obviously not 100% committed to the team or he would still be our coach. I REFUSE to watch the bowl game because he will be coaching it! Thanks Nick for using LSU as your stepping stone!
