Imagine how much this must suck... I spent the summer in Colorado working at a tv station in Denver. The University of Colorado is in Boulder, about 30 minutes away from Denver. About a week ago, I asked a sports producer at the station for Colorado footage from last year and he said that the station only shot footage of two or three games. When I asked why they only shot a few games, he said "because it gets in the way of covering the Broncos." DAMN! A university is 30 miles from a major city and can't get coverage on Saturday because the NFL team is so popular. The guy then explained to me that the Buffs schedule all of those tough OOC games to try to attract attention and compete against the Broncos fanbase. I'm just glad the Saints don't detract from LSU's fan base.
Re: Imagine how much this must suck... That's a shame. In my opinion, collegiate atheltics shouldn't even compete for fans with professional....Collegiate is so much better!
