I don't know how good Florida is but I'm very excited about the character
    of this football team.
    1) the way we won the ASU game
    2) the way we beat Florida today dispite 5 turnovers

This team has character and I'm really excited about the strides that have
    been made with our defense.
I really can't believe just how good the defense was today and I'm starting
to be a believer now, for sure after the AU game.

I sure hope we can fix the penalties and turnovers, mental mistakes?
This team sure seems to be turnover prone, where do you start?

I'm very optimistic about our chances of making Atlanta now for the SECCG.

LOL, you were less enthusiastic after Vandy and I am less enthusiastic after Florida. I'm not impressed by our team yet. We are loaded to the gills with talent, though.

Character/cohesiveness/effort are the most important things to championship teams. If a team doesn't have one, they stand no chance...talent will win the 'supposed to' games. We have talent and character..now we just need focus.

I am not nearly as worried about our defense any more. The last couple games we have been very strong defensively. I was worried that both against Vandy and Miss it was overrated because they are pretty sad. Florida is not the best but they are a better guage than the other two were. Defense won this game.

The turnovers, penalties, and missed tackles are unbelievable....these are the problems that need to be addressed the most IMHO.

But, not meaning to focus on the problems. We won a hard fought game and I'm freakin happy about it. :geauxtige !!!!!

    I'm very concerned.

Why do we commit double-digit penalties and 5 or more turnovers each week? This is ridiculous, especially considering the fact that the same players last year did not do this.

Hmm...players are the same, strength and conditioning coach is the same...what's different between this year and last that could explain such sloppy play?

I'm becoming more impressed with the coaching staff though. The turn-overs and penalties that have plagued our team the past 3 weeks can't be blamed on coaching. So, for that, I'm quite satisfied with our coaching staff. It's our "loaded to the gills with talent" players that are giving the ball away and making penalties....

If I knew the answer to that I'd be a very rich man. We've got Jimbo and a lot of the O staff back. JR continues to show progress, despite his propensity to make some boneheaded throws at the wrong time. I doubt that Moffitt has changed the conditioning program. I just don't know why our O isn't more consistent and we aren't putting more points on the board.

It has to be partially the coaches fault. As you said these problems have been such for the last 3 weeks. Don't you think after at least 2 weeks with the same primary problems the coaches would focus more on fixing these problems during the week? Granted I don't know what goes on in practice but it doesn't seem to me like anything is being done to fix these issues.

This is a very good post, and I agree 100%.

The problem is that Miles is hurting those three very important ingredients. I'll give the staff major thumbs up on the defensive changes, but again sitting on the ball allowed UF a chance to get back in this game.

Yeah I know TURNOVER, PENALTY, TURNOVER, Penalty. BLAH BLAH BLAH....

Most of these are a product of taking the offense out of the rhythm they are in.

Argue all you want. It's a fact.
