I'm telling you it's a MUSLIM thing, the religion itself is tainted. It's middle ages, it's prehistoric, it's barbaric, its brainwashing. Probably not, but you can make it a non issue. what's the alternative? Tell them OK you've won take over and we'll all wear head dressings and buy prayer mats? I dont think so. I don't see any uprisings from native americans anymore. No malice intended for those of you who are decendants. I know that isn't EXACTLY the same thing, but they all had similar idealogys (sp? ) also. I respect their freedom of religion, as long as it doesn't threaten our domestic tranquility. For all we know, all the converts in this country are just the "ground work" to a more sinister scheme, that they themselves were unaware of. I know that sounds stupid like out of an Austin Powers movie, but politics and religion make strange bedfellows. I sure hate to bring up the middle ages and the army the pope (s) once had at their beckon call, because it will certainly get supa all in a tizzy but never the less, it happened. It can happen again. Especially since our society is so sure it WONT happen. :shock:
Huh? Similar idealogies? How can you even compare the two? The Native Americans had land taken over in a hostile manner, and their lifeblood (the American Buffalo) made extinct for the sake of the railroads and for sport. No unprovoked attacks on other soil, just acts of self-preservation. I'm sorry, but that comparison is off-base, to say the very least. If I'm not mistaken, Muslim is the most widely-practiced religion on earth. Most of them are benevolent, but the extreme minority give a bad rap to the rest. If it was all of them, it'd be much worse of a problem. At any rate, people that have wanted/tried to extinguish entire religions/races to not have a favorable track record.

Try Africa, Turkey, Israel, even parts of western europe. You'll soon find out that they are not "benevolent", or peaceful. Their cultures are so poorly advanced that we are only just now seeing what they are truely capable of. Give them another ten years to grow, and spread their "religion of peace", and we're all going to be sorry. I'm not blowing smoke CC. I'm dead serious. Our culture, and theirs, cannot co-exist in peace. We are talking about the oldest feud on the planet. Technology has advanced to such a level that now our war is on a global scale. You are right, we can't snuff them out. There are way to many of them. Our only hope is to do what we can to spread freedom and democracy, in order to hopefully contain them. Their idealism cannot grow in a free, prosperous, society. They pray on the weak and poor. Sound familiar?

I think you misread what I stated. I mean the minority that are extreme, not extreme as an expression of magnitude. You just solved the riddle. It's not the religion, it's the culture. And idealogy could be taken to a violent extreme if people are put in desperate enough situation. Not really, no. And why would someone express their religion or communicate with God on poor people? Anyway, like I said, and apparently need to be more clear on...'ethnic cleansing' and elmination of entire religions have not historically fared too well. Further, since it is an idealogy that tends to intensify with every strike against it, how would we go about total elimination? You're suggesting that we just declare war on all Muslims worlwide?

At this point, and with everything I've witnessed, yes. Where do I sign up, again? It doesn't have to be just a war of armies. We can fight them with education, economic advancement, democracy, and truth.
