... so when, on one of the random occasions that I listened to Rush for amusement, he said, "It's time, ladies and gentlemen. It's time to label Timothy Geitner as a failure." I didn't know why. I know that we have a great assortment of political viewpoints here- why would Rush say that (aside from stirring the crap pot)? Was there any legitimacy to what he said? Seriously, I don't have a clue, I've been so busy with school and work. What's his situation?
In a nutshell, he's a tax cheat and a liar. Obama pooh-poohed his tax evasion issues saying that only he could lead the Treasury during these critical economic times. Now, he's trying to distance himself from the AIG bonus debacle when, in fact, while he was head of the NY federal reserve, he was a key architect of the bailout proposal and was intimately familiar with all of the provisions therein. The media and congressional Orcas smell blood and Geithner is looking a lot like a seal at this point.
Now thats just a disturbing rant right there. Geithner dropped the ball with his lack of communication.
No more than Bush had, Cabinet failures dont hurt the POTUS as much as people think. Unless they continue to keep them around.
Bush's didn't seem to be as bountiful, and certainly not as newsworthy, as obama's in the first 50 days.
