Never, EVER, in all the years I've been waiting for this day did it ever occur to me that I would not even be able to get through the entire Sportscenter telecast. At least half the fun of winning is hearing and reading about it and that #$%& Chris Fowler and Lee Corso absolutely ruined it for me. I'm livid. "LSU beats Oklahoma...but". That's going to be the theme of every GD national media accounting of this game. Does the media not realize that USC's so called share is a myth created by them (the media) and only them? There is no AP national championship. None. It exists only in the minds of the writers. From the beginning of the year, there were 4 major bowls and the Sugar was "THE" NC game. No where did it say "as long as the AP agrees". This is the same media that proclaimed OU BEST EVER. This is the same media that gave the Sooners more awards than Gone With The Wind. Oklahoma IS good. Oklahoma IS fast. But, guess what? This Tiger defense is the best in the country. Hands down. No contest. And what do we hear? "Gee, too bad they don't get to play USC? Well. I'll tell you what. The Trojans should thank their lucky stars that they don't have to strap it up against this LSU team because there is NO doubt who would win. Thanks for listening fellow Tiger fans. I had to get that off my chest.
You're absolutely right. The media bias is disgusting. The crystal trophy is what counts so fu#* em'. Enjoy your win and buying all your LSU National Champions memorabilia. Just wait for the Sports Illustrated video of your season to come out. ESPN ain't worth a $hit anyway...
All those idiots did by attributing LSU's defensive performance to a home field crowd is to further prove that they know nothing about football. Crowd noise and emotion may affect an offense or a defense on a given play, but the discipline and precision evidenced by LSU's masterful execution of consistent team defense cannot be produced by noise or emotion. Crowd noise does not put pressure on a QB, make a tackle, or put people in the right places to cover receivers. Our defense would have beat OU like a drum even if it had been playing in an empty stadium. The talking heads can talk all they want, but they can't take anything away from what LSU accomplished this season.
They're not just knocking LSU, they are knocking the SEC. They hate the SEC because we have a long standing history of cheating.

Believe me, USC wants that crystal trophy. They will try to denigrate it but they want it. Of the two fan bases, I believe LSU's is MUCH more satisfied with how things turned out. We won the National Championship. They won a writer's beauty contest. Believe it was the swimsuit competition that did it for them. GEAUX TIGERS!
