visting relatives. While out to dinner last night with some cousins, one of them got a phone call from someone with contacts in the high Louisville AD office.

After a couple of minutes talking with this guy, my cousin tells me basically Petrino is gone. The guy didn't any timetables for the move but that he was gone and to bet the house on Boise St in the Liberty Bowl. This guy also told my cousin real early about Rick Pitino going to Louisville, so he has some credibility... as much as anyone talking about coaching searches can have.

So take this as you will but I saw this with my own eyes. Just thought I'd give everyone a view from behind the enemy lines.

Interesting. We'll see. I could see someone like Petrino coming in and having success and not leaving for the NFL soon...hmmm...

Well, the UL boards are on fire with rumors of Vikings OC Scott Linehman (sp-?), whose contract expires at the end of the season, being very interested in the gig.

Your contact may be right...but that may be because, if BP doesn't get the offer from LSU, he may be booted out...LOL.

Well, if its Petrino he will definately have our QB's in top forum in no time. He worked a miracle with Jason Campbell.

I think BP is a good fit if he brings in the right defensive guy. I dont think his present D coordinator has what it takes to be in the SEC.
