if you were worth big time bucks and were into entertaining guests (with the big dining room and servants, etc.), what kind of food would you like? what would your menu look like? share it with me....
this would be the menu of the ideal meal. i guess this doesnt really address your question because my favorite foods dont happen to be expensive. i eat the same foods now as i would if i were a billionaire. 1. fresh french bread 2. garden salad. 3. crawfish pies (main dish) 3. gumbo 4. hush puppies 5. turbodog 6. pecan pie.
A 16oz to 20oz Ribeye cooked rare to medium rare. Take some crawfish tails and some fresh crabmeat and saute that in some butter, onion and spices. Put that on top of the Ribeye and thank me after you eat. I'd eat that every night if I could. That or a good pot of home made spaghetti sauce.
Blue Lobster. Kobe Beef Cooked medium rare. Potato Nioke with black truffles. Blue Cheese salad (wedge style). Lafite Rothschild 1945. Cheesecake with fresh strawberrys or a good tiramisu. Coffee and Chickory.
my roommate and I have often entertained the idea of having a diet primarily consisting of Meximelts from Taco Bell when we are rich....i would probably eat steak, crawfish and buffalo wings a lot more too if I had the cash....I would also learn Japanese and buy my way onto at least one episode of Iron Chef as a judge......for that matter, I would go see Emeril at least once too....
Tough question. It doesn't matter if I'm rich or poor. I'm going to eat the same foods basically. I would like to try a Beef Wellington. I have seen those in magazines while traveling in an airplane. They look very interesting. I wonder if they are delicious or not. WTF is that? Is that just a hotdog on your menu?
I once thought that the amount of money my husband and I make, combined, would be enough to buy whatever a person wanted. That was before I made the money. But I will say that the one thing I notice is that I no longer have to worry about how much an item on a menu costs. If I want the filet mignon with broiled lobster, I can get it. Ten years ago, I sometimes had to drink water, instead of diet Coke, when I went to a restaurant. If I was rich, it wouldn't change my tastes. For instance, caviar wouldn't suddenly become appealing to me...
I would eat exactly what I eat now, and in moderation. If I were rich, I don't think I would embrace an extravagant lifestyle in any way. I grew up on good Southern home cooking, and that's what tastes best to me.
nah man turbodog is an abita beer, a dark ale. abita is a beer made in abita springs LA. they have it all over the south and i have even had it as far north as washington dc and NYC. it is spectacular.
