Who would you like to play? I'm torn between Michigan and Miami. I'd love to slap around a Big 10 media darling. Then there is Miami which would be fun to beat them because they're Miami and I hate them, plus seeing Berlin throw 4 picks and get knocked around would be fun too.

Who cares? Even if we go 13-1, if we don't get to the Sugar Bowl, it's all a waste.

Seriously :) I'd like to take on Michigan. They looked awesome yesterday. Plus, you beat a Big 10 Champion and suddenly the Northerners think you might be able to play a little ball.

Didn't we beat the Big Ten champion two years ago?

Illinois doesn't count, look at them now. I doubt you'd see Michigain go the same way after losing one player.

I'd like a rematch with Texas, but Michigan would be awesome to play too, in the Rose Bowl no less.

I thought the Fiesta Bowl was really interested in you guys . .and the thought was you would play there. If that is the case, I think you would play Pitt (Big East Champs).

Playing Pitt doesn't excite me at all. We'd get not credit for whipping them.

The question was: "Who would you like to play?" The Big East Champion is the least of the choices IMO. Almost like being relegated to the bottom of the BCS pack.

If we go 12-1 and get screwed out of the Sugar Bowl I really don't care whether we play in any bowl or not. Under the BCS system all of the bowls are meaningless except for the one that hosts the title game. The smaller bowls are OK for up and coming teams that are just glad to be in a bowl game but for the upper echelon big conference winners like LSU or Michigan or Florida State who would rightfully have a chance at proving whether of not they were the best team on the field it is pretty meaningless. Who really gives a damn if LSU beats Florida State or Miami in the Orange Bowl or if Michigan beats the second best team in the Rose Bowl if the winners don't get to advance while some idiotic system of computers decide that UCS is more worthy than LSU of playing for all the marbles. Its OK for the schools and their conferences because the big 4 bowls pay $13 million to each participant but whats in it for the players and the fans? If Oklahoma beats USC in the Sugar Bowl the OU fans will be happy because they are declared the National Champs and the USC fans might not be happy about losing but at least the will be satisfied that they got to show it on the field and they had their chance. The rest of the teams who would have been in a playoff if they had one are just out of luck. If LSU wins out and dosen't go to the Sugar Bowl I will watch the Orange or Fiesta or whichever one they are in but if you think I'm pissed when we find out the Tigers have been screwed you ain't seen nothing compared to how pissed I'll be if LSU wins and dosen't get to move up and play Oklahoma for the title, which of course they won't because the NCAA dosen't do it that way. LSU being in the Cotton Bowl last year was OK because last year LSU was a decent team who wouldn't have gotten into the playoffs anyway so I was more pumped up about the matchup with Texas as just another game to see how we matched up with them but it didn't mean anything to anybody but LSU fans. Texas fans weren't even excited about it. Did anybody really care anything about last years Colorado-Oregon Fiesta Bowl (or was that the matchup the year before) , the USC-Iowa I already forgot which bowl or the Rose Bowl matchup between Oklahoma and another team that I have forgotten who it was? I don't remember who Georgia played in the Sugar Bowl. Was it Michigan? At least last year both teams in the title game were undefeated and nobody else was. This year LSU could be champions of the SEC and get left out so some freaking surfer boy school from the namby pamby wishy washy PAC 10 fans can sip their chardonnay in the Superdome and leave at halftime if their team is down by more than a touchdown at the half.

Advantages to playing in a BCS bowl other than the NC one:
    • More exposure for the program... helps recruiting, and next year's pre-season rankings
    • Brings in more money
    • Allows team to practice for additional few weeks, which helps for next season tremendously
    • Could cause BCS controversy, leading to changes for the better in the future
