It seems like Spurrier would a logical replacement for Saban if he leaves.

Spurrier could step right in and compete for a national championship. I know he considered LSU years back and if Saban goes I would love to have him. It would be nice to have a coach will not leave for the pros.

Hopefully Saban will stay, but who knows what will happen.

I think Spurrier would be the only choice if Nick was to leave.

I bet he would enjoy coaching and want to coach here if he
got the chance with the talent thats here.

Could you imagine what a rivalry we would have with Fla all
    of a sudden?

Not no But HELL NO .

Nick is here for the duration, until Bear Bryant himself calls him on high.

No I don't want Saban to leave, because I like our defensive mind set, and we will have a hell of an offense anyway once one of our stud QBs is playing.

Spurrier will NEVER agree to coach here. He hates LSU.

He felt he got screwed when he was up for the LSU job in the '80's.

He seems like the kind of guy that would hold a grudge.

I try to stay away from talking about Saban leaving - but if it was to happen why would Spurrier be the logical choice? I think Jimbo would be a much more logical choice. He hasn't taken the reins of a major program yet, but he will someday and will likely do one hell of a job.

You said it all when you said he hasn't taken the reins of a major
    program.

Don't get me wrong, I like Jimbo and the other coaches but there
are some that don't think it will happen because of the Mike
    Archer fiasco.

LSU also now has proven that a proven coach can win a championship here

If Nick was to leave they would decide to get a proven coach.
NOT an assistant, because of what happened the previous
    years
