If Florida beats Georgia and if UF, UGA and UT end up tied in the East, whom do we want to meet in Atlanta? We have interesting history with all three. The easiest game would be UT.
Why would anybody want Georgia to win?? I don't want to play Georgia again because its next to impossible to beating the same team twice in a year. A few examples: LSU and tenn regular season then played for SEC Championship. LSU and Notre Dame then in the Indy bowl And I'm sure there are many examples of this with other teams. I want another crack at Fla, I don't think they can beat us again, for the reasons above and I think we would be ready for revenge after loosing at home also.
In a 3 way tie, it has been estimated that the final possible tiebreaker will be needed. Thus, the ADs of all SEC teams not involved in the issue (UF, UGA, UT, and the West champ excluded) will vote for who represents the East. It would be so interesting to see each school votes. Say you're Auburn. In this scenario, you'd have played UT and UGA. You'd have beaten UGA and lost to UT. You have not played UF. Who do you vote for? All 3 of the voting Eastern teams will have lost to all 3 teams tied at the top. Do you vote for the team that beat you the most impressively? Or, do you just vote for the team with the highest BCS ranking? I do not see UF or UT losing again (though the Vols may be vulnerable in their last game at UK) while only Auburn presents a challenge to UGA. If Auburn beats UGA, UT has the tiebreaker over UF by beating the Gators in the Swamp 24-10.
I think Florida should be voted to go to SECCG. They beat UGA the best team in the East, and Tennessee looks awful. LSU can beat Florida. I love it, we want to play Florida and we think we should win and want payback. During SS days we would not be saying this, would we? I think if LSU wins out, I like our chances against anyone in SECCG. Tigers will move to number 5 tonight, maybe 4 if Miami looses.
