    AND HE WAS ...

He must be BITTER AS HELL watching Saban sign ANOTHER Top recruiting class while he signs a class that Tulane wouldn't be proud of.

Look at the group Dumbnardo is recruiting to Indiana. He's got 5 wins in the last 2 years (only 3 over Div. 1 programs). Last year, his only Big 10 victory was over a winless Illinois team on a last minute touchdown prayer. Things are looking to get any better for ole Gerry. You know, GIVEN THE WAY HE LEFT BATON ROUGE CRYING LIKE A PU$$Y, that he is just stewing away blaming everyone but himself STILL for his failures at LSU.

Anyway, here's what Dumbnardo can do (recruiting-wise) without the LSU name behind him --

A Dinardo Recruiting Class W/O the benefit of being at LSU

I would say that's a little bit behind our recruiting class, wouldn't you agree? The Jack A$$. when he got the job at IU they asked him what he learned at LSU and he said that he learned that he had to have his hands in everything to make sure things were done right. So that means he really didn't learn ANYTHING!

Gerry DiNardo could recruit a team of Girl Scouts to Indiana, and it wouldn't matter. IU is a basketball school...the only coach there
under any real pressure at all to win is Mike Davis. If IU was truly serious about winning in football, they wouldn't have hired DiNardo to begin with.

If he wants to keep his job, he better win more than 3 Big 10 games over the next 2 years. I'd predict that if he has another 1 Big 10 win this coming year - HE'S GONE.

Having his bosses see what Saban is doing at LSU (while he blamed everyone for HIS failures) doesn't make Dumbnardo look any better.

I realize that Indiana football will always play second fiddle to Indiana Basketball AND Notre Dame football, but they expect a few thrills every year and a team that competes EVERY NOW AND THEN like Purdue or Illinois. Hell, even Northwestern went to the Rose Bowl in the last 10 years.

With the recruiting Dumbnardo is doing at Indiana, he MUST know that he should be saving all of his pennies because he's going to be looking for a job REAL SOON. I bet he misses his $600,000/year job here in B.R. And, had he not been such a PARANOID FREAK, he'd be making over $2 million right now.

Let's just be glad the Dinardo era is long and gone at LSU! :)

Just makes the Saban Era look that much better.

Its funny how Dinardo was able to beat Saban in the Indy bowl.

I actually wish the best for Dinardo and am glad he most likely
won't be coming back once Nick does leave.

Dinardo may not have succeeded long term at LSU but he certainly made a few nights in Tiger Stadium a LOT more enjoyable for me as a fan.

I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this thread, but it would seem to me as if you are the bitter one. Besides, what can the list of Indiana recruits possibly prove/show?

Indiana is not exactly known for football and heck for that matter its basketball program is barely a blip on the radar map for now.... It's not like there is anyone who could suddenly make Indiana a powerhouse in college football.

Maybe Skip can put IU on our football schedule soon...so for the rematch between Dinardo & Saban, Nick and The Tigers can kick their A$$es. It should be a pretty easy win--it definately wouldn't help our strength of schedule though!!:geaux: :lsug:

Had Dinardo just left and realized that a coach who wins 1 SEC game in 2 years in his 4th and 5th year DESERVES to be fired, I wouldn't have any ill feelings for Dinardo.

But, he PUBLICLY criticized LSU FOR YEARS. Even after the debacle of the XFL, he was STILL crying about losing the LSU job. He stated LIES such as Emmert was telling him who he could and couldn't play/RECRUIT. This was YEARS later.

Given his first 3 years, he could have gone away quietly, kept his restaurant and lived a decent life. But, it was Dinardo who CHOSE to SEVERELY and PUBLICLY criticize LSU at EVERY juncture.

Perhaps you guys just haven't heard many of his RAMBLINGS about LSU since he's been gone.

AND, many of these statements have occurred in the last 2 years.

If it wasn't for that, I'd have NO PROBLEMS with Dinardo.
