Regardless of what happens on Saturday, the LSU Tigah Nation can benefit greatly after the game. We need to be magnanimous in Victory OR Defeat. Let me explain why. The reputation of our School is at stake. Folks, right now, LSU is at the top of the SEC. Nobody else in our conference has experienced the kind of success that WE have experienced over the last five years. Yeah . . . forty years ago, the Bear made Bama the best in the SEC . . . and our Bama opponents stayed at the top for a long time. But things have changed, People . . . I humbly submit to you the THE LSU TIGAH NATION is currently at the top of the SEC. Our record of success over the last 5 years is my evidence. No matter what happens on Saturday, I say to ALL true LSU fans that we are in the driver's seat, and we are speeding towards a bright future. No matter what happens on Saturday, let's tip our hats to those good folks who love the University of Alabama. If we win, let's recognize them as worthy opponents and offer a hand of friendship. If they win, let's do the SAME . . . and wish them the best of luck in their quest for a SEC Championship in 2005. If Bama wins on Saturday . . . that's a bump in the road for us . . . because the Future belongs to the Purple and Gold, NOT the Crimson and White. Yes, the Bama Nation is a worthy opponent that we respect . . . but WE believe that the Future belongs to LSU . . . regardless of what happens on Saturday!!! WE WILL WIN THE GAME ON SATURDAY!! LSU WILL DEFEAT THE ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE!! It will be a Glorious struggle . . . and it will be the best game of the season in SEC football . . . it will be a SHAME that either team will have to lose. LSU will win . . . and we will tip our hats and wish our opponents the best of luck for the rest of THIS season . . . and remind them that . . . THE FUTURE BELONGS TO US. WHO IS WITH ME??
Very Classy Post!:thumb: I only wish there were more fans like you! The better team will surely win and there is no amount of trash-talking that will change that. Good way to look at a tough game in case we do lose it is not the end of the world!
I would have really been a great leader and a mover and shaker were I not so easily distracted by beautiful female companionship.
Great post Jean! ldskule: For me, above all in the SEC, Bama is the game I circle every year. My hate for the tide runs deep, back to Thanksgiving day 73'. I consider myself fortunate to have seen Charlie Mac and The Bear coach on the same field. All my bama jokes aside, the stakes are high this weekend and I can't think of a more desirable or worthy opponent than the Tide. I salute the Bama Nation as warriors and may the best team win on Saturday. :geauxtige
