They will ask this question to Pete Carroll, the head coach at the University of Southern California.

"Coach Carroll, last year you claimed a share of the National Championship, openly lobbying the split title because the system didn't work. Will you now openly lobby for Auburn to win a share of the national championship if they don't appear in the BCS National Championship Game at the Orange Bowl on January 4th? Would you disagree that they face the same situation as your team last year? Would you not say that if Auburn went undefeated and was left out of the National Championship by the BCS System, that they too should share a claim to the national title?"

We need to ask what the deal will be on this, and we need someone in the media to put this question to Carroll and watch him squirm...

Carroll would simply point out that USC was number one in both human polls prior to the Sugar Bowl. It's not valid because the polls were not the deciding factor, but Auburn, likely being #3 in the polls this year, won't have the same argument.

I see what you guys are getting at but Auburn is a distant third and isn't threatening #1 in any poll...if USC and Auburn win out, there won't be an argument because Auburn would end up #2 at best.
