...is feeling this morning, knowing he threw away the National Championship ring he'll never have a chance at up there in Oxford? Oh well, I guess the opportunity to play and build stats is more important to some guys than bringing home the bling-bling.
LOL, Lane has to be jealous now. IMHP Ole Miss is going in one direction and LSU is going another Ole Miss have to many good players gone now
I'll be quite happy to see Messrs. Hill, Spears, and Co. give him a warm welcome to Death Valley NEXT year.
It looks like it will be 3 years before Lane is a starter.Next year will be Micheal Spurlock who will be junior. He has a very strong are and can run a 4.3 -40.Thing is he is just to darn short .I think 6'0" or 5'11''. It is possible than Lane could beat him out though I guess. Congrats on your NC!
If it's going to take Lane that long to win the starting job, then I'm guessing you won't have him for that long...and you may be better off for it. He reneged on his commitment here at the last minute because he was seemingly afraid of the competition at QB. Thanks for your congrats...you guys can always say that you were SEC West co-champs w/ the National Champion, now. And to be completely honest, y'all actually gave us every bit as good a game as Oklahoma did.
Wow. So it looks like Ole Miss will go from pass-oriented to Nebraska-style run opion??? ...'Cause if this Spurlock kid is as short as you say he is, he'll have trouble getting the ball down field over the D-line. He'll have to revert to "Doug Flutie" manuvers and have to find a lane to throw it down--and they aren't aways there.
