We have all the talent in the world and the coaches that can put them in the right position to win. I realized that we are not that good and won't win the NC. I feel better today coming to terms with what will be a undisciplined team. In all the Saban years they drilled the fundamentals. This coaching staff is falling short early on.
Maybe the coaches should've put the team on autopilot meaning the system wasn't broken that was already here. NS team was always disciplined. After all those penalties the first half and remembering some from the ASU game it crossed my mind, are we going to lead the SEC or NCAA in penalties? I felt a little better once Tennessee caught up in that category. It would've at least bought the coaches some time if they would've pulled a Barry Switzer when they took over Jimmy Johnson's team!
I remember seeing a story on Saban where he was teaching the defensive backs to lock up on the receivers. The commentators were saying how great a teacher he was and I thought to myself that I am sure a lot of coaches teach the same simple thing. OBVIOUSLY NOT! THE THREE STOOGES ARE RUNNING OUR TALENTED TEAM!
You'd think for seven figures you could get a guy who knows how the clock works...or can make half time adjustments...or ran a balanced offense...or hydrate players...or look cool in a ball cap...or not blame the most talented stable of players we've had in years for a loss that results directly from poor training and coaching...or not set a new blown-lead record for Tiger Stadium. That's it. Two games - same coaching issues, same bad calls, same attitude afterwards. He's gonna catch hell on the wednesday call-in show and I'm looking forward to it. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
