After rewatching the our offense during the Auburn game today.
I didn't have time to watch the whole game yet with a toddler and an
infant in the house and then theres work.
I was flat our wrong with what I said about the playcalling offensively.
I loved the playcalling for the entire game from offense to defense except
we ran that wr screen a little too much.
We threw the ball down the field a little more than I remembered.

Our offense just isn't executing like they should be.
Its up to the players and not the coaches to make the plays.
We missed 2 fg's and 2 td passes were dropped.
Bowe also dropped a first down pass that led to a missed fg.
JR and Bowe just missed hooking up on another td in the game.
Our most consistant wide receiver is Craig Davis IMO.
Joseph Addai is my offensive MVP so far because he is the only
consistant player in our inconsistant offense.
JR isn't consistant yet but he seems to get into a streak when the game
is on the line for some reason.
In the future I will rewatch the game before coming here and saying anything, I've learned my lesson.
When it comes to LSU sports especially football I am of liberal mentality
meaning that I judge with my emotions and feelings.

I will openly admit that I see Les Miles on the sidelines as LSU coach and
I am unsure if I like him or not, nothing personnal.
Maybe its because of going through so many coaches in the 80's and 90's,
then the Dinardo experience, he is also a stranger to me.
Maybe its because when we finally found the right one he left?
Maybe we at LSU deserved it because of what was done to Charlie Mac.
Does that remind you of a university in the midwest right now?

btw I apologize to the coaches and everyone, I was wrong and I have
    no problems admitting that!
The coaches are slowly winning me over with each game and improvements. :geauxtige

The Auburn game was an improvement in several catagories but the lack of execution at times over shadowed it. I also think JR was hurt more than he was letting on or he really had a bad night with his accuracy but made HUGE improvement in recognizing pressure and making good decisions. He still stares down his recievers and did not do a good job of finding the wide open reciever. The team made good progress and needs to continue in that direction but overall it was a pretty well played game.

    SD,

    A top quality post, hurumpffff!

I agree about Craig Davis being our most reliable receiver, and I've said it since last season. He's money.

    Agree about Joe Addai.

I like you personal observations about Miles. I feel the same way. I want to like him, but I don't yet. He's a little too 'rah rah' for me. It leaves you wondering how smart he is if he has to resort to too much 'rah rah'. I can't say 'I don't like him' either. From Texas, I don't think I know him well enough.

When Saban talked, we figured he had some 'arrogant jerk' in him, and may not be that pleasant to be around, but he sounded pretty smart, and it was obvious the team made progress year by year, if not week by week. After the SECCG in 2001, you had to respect him, despite the UAB couple years earlier, because he earned our respect as a coach.

Miles is slowly earning my respect. I think you have to respect results. 5-1, victories over ASU, Fla., and Auburn, #7 in the nation, with a raw soph at QB. I think that's pretty good. Maybe the "like" will come. But, he has to earn it.

Anyhow a good post, from the heart.

This team is getting better every game and I am liking the fact that we play Bama in two weeks.... If we keep growing as a team, I don't know if anyone in the nation can beat us..... We are definately not there yet though....

Don't take your self so serious. I don't thinks anyone else is. :usaflagwa :laflagwav :thumb: You are right. There was a lot of inconsistent play. We have two games to work on it. Bama's ass is ours.

Playcalling has been good all year for the most part, since we don't know 1/10th of what the OC knows up in that booth, it is not for us to judge. But I will say again like I've said all year (and years before)..when it comes to football, nothing is as bad or as good as it seems.

That's why I told you to quit being a parrot. You do it all the time. Someone comes on with a gripe and you jump in and agree. Then you retract a couple of days later.

Nope, I've never retracted anything until this week and I don't do it all the time.

Come on Man? If I wanted to spend the time I could fill 2 pages with examples. Hell, you did it 3 or 4 times this week.

As for the playcalling, I don't think any of us no what it going on either and it's real easy to knock it after the game. The defense has a lot to do with plays not working. Of course in the minds of some any time or defense stops a team it is because of great defense, when the opponents defense stops us it is because of poor execution or the wrong playcall. :hihi:

As for the Parrot thing, I've seen over a hundred posts today stating that JR still stares down his receivers, so that must be the new catch phrase. ;)

How would ya'll like to be able to watch a coach's game tape with shots from the endzone and overhead, wouldn't that be the coolest thing?
