My point was that, with the team we have, even if the QB is a weak link, we still should beat those teams. I don't view that as being too cocky at all.
LSU will be 4-0 going into the Georgia game....and this is based on defense alone. Those teams will find it almost impossible to put points on the board. Georgia and Florida will be the only close games. My bet is we beat Florida and it's a tossup with the Georgia game (as well as the rematch against Georgia in the SEC CG). Those 2 games determine what bowl we are in of course.

You are so right Jetstorm.Randall will be fine and get stronger as the season goes on.Our biggest problem on that side of the ball will be if he goes down say in the UGA game.Then we are going to be in the same gar hole we were in 2 years ago when Mauck went down in the UF game.
No defense, no matter how good, can carry the load of the team when the offense is turning over the ball 3 to 4 times a half.
