Or at least advise them. I came up with an idea. Why didn't we put land mines in on the Iraqi borders between Iran and Syria. You could leave the roads open and guard them. This way all of these terrorists wouldn't have been able to come into Iraq and how many American and Iraqi lives could've been spared? I don't care if land mines are politically incorrect, we are at war people and any way I can save innocent lives I will. You keep maps of the mine fields then once the war is over just bomb them with planes until the field is gone. Bring in bulldozers and level off area once the threats are no longer. Why is this stuff so hard to figure out?
Your neighbor was willing to move to Canada if Kerry lost? Maybe he can find a job in Canada or Mexico. That's where all the jobs are these days.......... OUTSOURCING
You are correct about my neighbor, he hasn't had a job in 3 years now. Maybe he can find 1 in Canada even though he is a felon because of Cocaine possession in the 70's. He also smokes a little dope every now and then, 50 years old. He had a job working at the Denver Post when I first met him but all of a sudden he can't find a job anywhere in town, not even at 7-11 or anywhere because he claims he's a felon. Hmm, You think he's being totally honest with me? :nope: btw, I don't think he can pass the drug tests. :dis:
I have a job. My wife has a job. Both sons have jobs. All 3 sisters and all of their husbands have jobs. All of my friends have jobs. All right here in the good ole USA.
I had the same question years ago regarding the Iraqi-Saudi frontier. So I did some reading. Land mines won't completely stop intruders, because they can be cleared relatively easily. It only slows them down until you can shoot the enemy up, which is very effective when you are defending a position against proper military units. But when you are covering vast areas against intrusion by small bands of guerillas, it is practically imposible to keep them from clearing a small lane somewhere and coming through unless you patrol the minefields constantly. And if you have enough troops to patrol that area properly (which we don't), then they are already guarding against such intrusions very effectively, and the mines themselves would be just a waste of money and dangerous to everybody.
I don't live in that bad a neighborhood. Denver is very expensive so we couldn't afford to live in the best neighborhood either. My neighbors coke conviction happened supposedly in the 70's in Florida I would also say that he is 50 which would make him born in 1954. This would mean he was 20 in 1974 and a teenager at the perfect time for Woodstock, Vietnam war protest and the drug, love culture that was around then. I would then conclude their are plenty of these guys around today that probably aren't like the guys you must be thinking of.
I came out of college in the worst job market in years and had no trouble finding a job. My cousins who graduated the year before me found jobs. My friends have all found jobs. Maybe all the peole whining about not having jobs should pick up the want ads.
May I add that I hear how badly the job market is now days yet alot of stores like Target and restaurants in town including fast food there are jobs availible. Help wanted signs have been up for 6 months or longer.
