They have really come on lately especially under Will Muschamp as DC. I still say we finally "get it" and RP plays more next week. Tigers 27 Tubby's 23
I'll second your call West Coast. The coaches will ride the kids this week, get them re-focused. Our D has a lot of pride, they'll be back. I see a close hard fought game coming up, a typical LSU Auburn affair.
I can't see LSU's offense running vs. Auburn. The War Eagle D shut down the Hog rushing game (which had been #2 in the nation), allowing it just 67 total yards. They sat on and squashed a Heisman candidate and Felix Jones, whom at least one reporter called the SEC's offensive MVP at the midpoint of the season. LSU won't be able to run in chunks, if at all. That means Flynn and his receivers will have to win it. I can't say I'm confident. Miles has his work cut out for him this week.
Boy, I would love to agree, but they are going to have to show me first. Seems like every week CLM says the team had a great practice, and then Tulane happens, and then Florida happens, and then Kentucky happens. And I don't get how we can have so many frickin stupid pentalties week after week after week. Aren't the coaches supposed to correct those mistakes in practice? I honestly think the penalties are the biggest problem on this team. If we eliminate half of them, we don't lose, period. (And it doesn't help when the refs call two phantom pass interference calls on you at key times.) It has gotten to where anytime LSU does anything good on either side of the ball, I am waiting for the flag. The playcalling is definately suspicious as well, even in the wins. It just does not seem that the best players are in at the best times. RP more would be nice, and let him pass the ball for crying out loud. And if we run the ball off left tackle 4 times in a row against Auburn, I bet we won't get a first down, so DON'T DO IT. CLM is one stubborn SOB, and that is not always good. It will come back to burn you at some point. OK, done with my one and only big vent. I feel better now.
