I agree with you FightinTiger. He is friends with the owners if I remember right, they will give him whatever he wants and needs and he could stay there as long as he wants. I hope he stays and I kept saying he would but you never know. If it does happen I just hope it happens when we can get a proven coach.
I am kinda shocked thats posts are coming from "vets" like you guys. Saban has ALREADY turned down the job. What don't you understand about that?
Saban is friends with the GM of the team.... The owners of the Bears are not looking to pay the kind of money it would take to get Saban's attention which is proportedly needing to begin with $4,000,000.00
I read one of you mention that he had already turned down the job. While this is true, in the days since, the Bears' "plan-B" went down the drain. Jim L. Mora was hired by the Falcons. So, from what I'm reading all over the internet, the Bears are desperate now. They are refocused on Saban and are trying to convince him to leave, probably throwing ridiculous money his way. Only thing I can say is, I know what I'm gonna ask God for in my prayers tonight.
I agree...I have been getting that uneasy feeling all this week about Nick leaving. I am going to go by the thought that Nick is a man of his word, and the word he has given is that he will be back at LSU.
i think your hunch isn't very smart.. do u think Saban would really give up 20 hours of work per day to give up his recruiting classes...next year will be his first FULL year with nothing but HIS years...he's gonna stay for at least 2 more years just my $.02
Do you have a weblink to a credible news source that says that? I don't think it's about money, it's about a chance to win a superbowl and be a NFL coach in one of the most legendary NFL organizations. The McCaskey's have plenty of money now with the remodeled Soldier Field and there is more pressure from the fans and media to win in Chicago with the renovations. Chicago is a great town, remember when Ditka criticized New Orleans and said it wasn't as nearly as nice as Chicago? Baton Rouge is nice, but the quality of life issue cuts both ways. Mike Sherman, Steve Mariucci, and Mike Tice don't have people on message boards claiming to know how happy their wives and children are and how they've made so many great friends. I think if he does leave, this will be it. IF doesn't go now, he'll be at LSU for another few years.
I am with ISLSTL on this one: Nick is not leaving especially with Sanders Committing today and Early Committing Tomorrow. Read all of this link: I think they got it right http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm
