if Arkansas beats Georgia, we are screwed as far as the Cotton Bowl goes.....Arkansas will go to New Orleans, Georgia will go to the Capital one bowl (citrus), Florida would go to the Outback bowl, Auburn would go to the Cotton, Tennessee will be in the peach, and LSU more than likely be in shreveport, and that will probably put Ole Miss in Nashville Georgia wins: Georgia would go to New Orleans, Florida will probably go to the Capital One bowl, Auburn will probably go to the Outback bowl, LSU to the Cotton Bowl, Tennessee is a lock in the Peach, Arkansas will be in Shreveport, and Ole miss will be in Nashville
... My bet is that the cotton is a done deal. Go Hogs! Doesn't really matter we didn't take care of business when we needed to.
No matter who wins, Florida has already formally accepted the Outback bid and will NOT be in the Capital One bowl, even if Miami loses and Georgia wins and Georgia goes to Tempe.
I bought my tickets to the.... Awburn game through them. Yesterday I received an Email since I bought them online stating that they were probably going to be selling Music City tickets if Ark won and one of the Florida games (can't remember which) if Ga. won.
Info from a bowl committee member.....sorry fellas not going to divulge what bowl. According to this source the Cotton wants LSU and no one else(the bowls were asked to rank SEC teams (1-3) in order of preference they would pick....Cotton asked if they could list LSU 1 and 2 and 3.....SEC wouldn't allow so they had to force rank 2 others at 2-3). However, the Capital One which should logically take Ark if they lose to UGA doesn't want anything to do with Ark. With that scenario Ark would end up in the Indy or Music City. However, the Hogs admin is wining to the SEC Commish about getting/deserving something better than the Indy or Music City. Supposedly the SEC commish is now leaning on the Cotton to take Ark should they lose. We'll see what plays out.
Well, I guess if Arky whines enough and goes to the Cotton, I can dump my tickets on some Longhorn fan since they are almost sold out.
