I stopped him when I was paying for gas and a paper in Denham Springs and thanked him for the season, and complimented him on the pick in the SECCG. I also let him know we were biting the $400 bullet for Sugar Bowl tickets to see them play for it all in Nawlins. I asked him what to expect against Oklahoma, and he told me while they haven't gotten specific yet (This was on Thursday)... "What do you expect from LSU? We gonna bring it, right?" He paused for a minute...then smiled and said... "Well, it won't be no different in the Dome." He also expressed shock at the $400 price...Which means that Nick really does have them both insulated and focused... If you're from Walker, La., and you live 20 minutes outside of Baton Rouge, then it's pretty difficult not to get caught up in all this stuff...for him not to realize it...Just made me feel that much better about the focus, preparation, and all that comes with it heading into this game... Nick's got their heads on straight...and they'll stay that way till Gameday, when he'll put them on a swivel...
Great, so you screwed up his head and added all the pressure on him that Saban was trying to insulate him from. Good going TE... if he only has 5 sacks instead of the 7 that I expect, it is all YOUR FAULT.
