keeping Minor on the bench until crunch time is a great idea by Brady....Minor isn't averaging a lot of minutes (compared to Hudson, Lloreda, Bass) but he plays when it's crunch time. and when it's crunch time is when he plays his best according to butch pierre...it's pretty obvious he plays better with the game on the line too during the middle of the game, he is still making too many freshman mistakes and i really like how Brady gets in his face and benches him when he screws up but i like it even more how he has full 100% trust in Minor to run the show when there's 5 minutes left in the game i also like how Brady always brings in Minor to get the Tigers a spark on offense...but yet he is still very much rested by the end of the game when everyone else on both teams are running out of gas although I would like to see Lloreda & Bass play less minutes right now, that is almost impossible...either time one or both are on the bench our offense will struggle mightily...i was really hoping for Lazare, Nelter, and Koundjia to step it up big as freshman, but Minor and Bass are the only ones to prove themselves worthy yet Kudos to John Brady for some great coaching thus far....let's hope he can keep it up throughout SEC play and March! :geaux:
Did you see that three he hit to end the first half againts Bama. That was one of the longest just stop and pop jump shots I have ever seen.
I like Tac's attitude. It's a game and he is really enjoying himself. He gives Brady an ulcer, but like Skip always said, sports is a game and the players and the fans should enjoy. Don't see how we expect to win with Koundjia and Whipple on the floor at the same time. Neither can score. Hard to win when the opposing defense can play five on three. Question is, in which game would you fans guess that Koundjia will hit his first three point basket. I heard coach Brady say that he is a very good 3pt shooter in practice. At game time it's nothing but brick city. He is an outstanding athlete but he sure needs to work on his offensive skills. You seldom see a player with his athletic ability that is not average or above in some facet of his game.
