I really hope Nick Saban doesn't leave but I'd wish him well and thank him for

bringing the NC back to the Tigers.

He is doing what is best for him and his family. If someone offered me a raise for another challenge in my career that would at least double my income, I'd have to consider it. Money isn't everything but it helps.

Coach Saban we want you to stay and bring us another title but if you leave....Thank You for putting the fear back in "Death Valley."

Saban isn't going anywhere this year, but when he leaves (and he will someday), he will certainly have left the program in much better shape than when he came.

I hope Emmert is still the Chancellor when this occurs. He hired Saban in the first place and he can be trusted to find the right guy to take the job after Saban leaves.

I heard a rumor that if Saban leaves this year, LSU will start pursuing Spurrier. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I would MUCH rather have Saban here. But if it comes down to that, I think Spurrier could handle our team too.
But I want to keep Saban here, don't get me wrong
What do yall think about this?

I would rather have Jimbo as the HC. I want to win with class and diginity like we are right now.

I dont know if he is leaving or staying, but the anxiety amongst Tiger fans is very, very high right now because of the situation. Nick chose his words closely over the past few months and never gave a defining answer that would make LSU fans feel at ease. He basically said the exact same words he used at MSU right before he left to take the LSU job. I think the Bears are prepared to offer Saban an offer that is going to be to much to turn down and he will be headed to Chicago. JMO. Of course if he stays in BR, send the crow my way.

Saban constantly preaches about clutter. All the talk of him taking another job is clutter to his staff and players. He said what he needed to to put it to bed. What happens after the season happens, but during the title run is not the time to air it out. Goes to the class of the coach and the right priorities.

I will bet you that Saban does not take the Chicago job.

I am 99.99% certain that Nick is staying at LSU. Skip faxed Sexton the revised contract offer Tuesday. I think I remember reading that there was a 30 day window after the last game for negotiations. It has been a hectic week for Coach Saban, attending the AFCA convention and I think he received the Eddie Robinson award in person last night in Phoenix. All that and winding down from this great season and winning the NC to boot.

I certainly will understand if he wishes to entertain offers from the NFL. However from a financial perspective, rumor has it, the new contract LSU extended is comparable to the $$$ he would make in the NFL.

When it's all said and done I'm confident he will remain at LSU.

Let's not forget that, if he takes an NFL job, it could be good for LSU in the long run.

How many great coaches would want to come to LSU knowing that we are a springboard to the NFL? I would hate to see him go, but there would be a silver lining.
