I am not well liked here but I have to say that I am only concerned about LSU. In my opinion Coach Miles is in over his head and there is not much anyone can do about it now. I also knew that this year Tigers would be okay cause of the talent level. I am very worried about the programs future I have seen how hard it is to build a program back up and I do not want to go back there again. so if I sound negative it is because I have been through the lean years and it is not nearly as fun
Dude, we have 1 loss and we just beat the #3 team in the country at their house. What more do you want.
Dan, like i said earlier, just present you arguements better and stick around a little while and you will earn respect. At this point, you just look like a flamer. You will get more respect, the more knowledge you drop on us and the more valid points you make.
when I try to tell the board things that I know,I get flames or deleted. such as when Saban was gonna leave, Joe Addai was gonna get hurt cause he was being used too much or too predictible. Miles is not gonna last long in BR but the damage will. Im not flaming I wish the best for the Tigers but the outlook seems dark in MY OPINION. I also understand this was a big win for the Tigers but with a good coach this tiger team would have iced this thing in the 3rd quarter. Auburn should have not taken us to OT at home and Tenn. should have never won.
Well you can't post unsubstantiated rumors that tend to make the board meltdown. The Addai thing, no one knew would happen... his ankle was fine for game time, then he re injured it on the first play, nothing anyone could do about that. He is our most consistent back and therefore we have to use him.
but I made the injury post before the Auburn game, Addai was being used too much in the middle. any running back could not have made the season like this. A good coach would have mixed it up a little more is all I was saying.
If so, your timing is miserable. We just had the biggest win since 2003 and all you want to do is be negative. You are a major drag to people who are naturally celebrating a MAJOR WIN. Based on what? An 89% winning percentage, BCS bowl prospects, and a #4 ranked team? Where the hell are you coming from with this learned opinion? You can have negative opinions and you can worry about the Tigers future. No problem. But these are topics for the off season. Or for slow thursday afternoons, not the day after a MAJOR victory. Where were you when we were discussing these subjects last spring? It is WAY too soon to write off coaches that are WINNING, are RECRUITING in the top 3, and have us right in the CHAMPIONSHIP RACE. What do you know that we don't, pray tell? A LOT of us have been through the lean years, chum. It made most of us appreciate a winning team with championship prospects. You just can't let the misery go. I pity you. Life is sweet for Tiger fans right now. Are you sure you are one?
In 2003, Sam King (I believe) wrote a column about these being the "golden years" of LSU football. He compared it to the years around and following the '58 championship team. Let's enjoy this time because it may not (and probably won't) last forever. These things come in cycles, you know. I'm loving being an LSU fan right now because I've been through the lean years, too. These are NOT the lean years, and it's just possible that Les Miles can be a great coach for us--one who may be around for many years. But are we going to treat him like Charlie Mac was treated after following Dietzel? People didn't appreciate him until he was gone.
