...but there isn't much mention of white beans anywhere that I could find. I have a random pack of white beans in my pantry that I think my mom gave me a while back and I wanna use them. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have a crock pot.

I cook my white beans the same way I cook red beans. I would just pick the red beans recipe you like and follow that. I will note that my white beans tend to be more spicy.

I love pork tasso in my white beans. Give great flavor to the beans.

I throw yellow and green onions into the crock pot as well.

Smoked ham definitely adds a great flavor to white beans. I use the same recipe as red, just add more ham and less sausage.

Excellent...thanks for the ideas. I've never cooked with white beans before so I didn't know if they would work the same as red beans or not. I'll have to give it a shot this weekend.

I forgot the smoked ham. Definitely need to throw a bunch of that into it.

I think ham works with white beans better than sausage does. Emeril makes a shrimp and ham creole white beans that looks awfully good. The recipe is probably out there on the net.

If you like white beans but don't have time to cook them from scratch, I highly recommend Blue Runner Creole White Navy Beans. You can "doctor them up" any way you like but straight out the can over rice, ces bon !!!!
