sooner of later. Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons broke a bone in his leg while trying to run out of the pocket. Sorry to see it happen to a young super talented player like Vick but the way he plays it was inevitable.
Wow, that makes the NFC South a whole new ballgame. He was one of the most exciting players to watch in the NFL.
I hate to see that happen. I hate pre-season. It is the biggest good-for-nothing ripoff in all of sports.
I know what you mean. I watch the first couple of preseason games just because its football and I have been in a football deprivation tank since the Superbowl but after the first quarter I'm bored.
They are saying that Vick's injury is not as serious as it could have been but he will be out for at least 6 weeks and that at least for the rest of this year when he does come back he won't be able to be the running threat that he has been.
This would be the equivalent of Michael Jordan getting hurt in an exhibition NBA game. There is no reason for the NFL to have all these stupid preseason games. Next year just have 2 preseason games and just get on with the season.
Why does Mike Vick have such a good rep. He isn't that good. True he was impressive last year, but noone had film of him to study. That had a lot more to do with his successes than his "once in a generation talent." What a load. Had he been sliding as he should have been that injury does not occur. He needs to learn he can't make everyone miss like he did at Va Tech. Maybe this will keep him in the pocket more and he will develop into a better qb, i ust doubt it. As Bill Parcells said "Let the boy hang a few banners in the gym before we put him in the hall of fame."
... He is in the pro's. They know all they need to know to stop him. They just could not do it. He is a great player. That is why he has a good rep as a player.
