I took my 8 y/o step-daughter to her first LSU game last night to watch the Tigers pummel LA Tech. She was SO excited to watch the players and the band walk down the hill and see Mike VI. She was awed by the band and the sights and sounds of Tiger Stadium that she had only seen on TV before. She took pics on the big bronze Tiger in front of the stadium and her face hurt from smiling. It was a wonderful experience for both of us. I had more fun watching her fall in love with LSU and the Tigers than watching the game. Then... We make the 2 mile walk back to our car parked in the public lot out by the New Ag Center development only to find that my car had been vandalized. Rocks were thrown at my car and I counted 12 huge dents and 4 large scrapes into my paint. It was obvious it was not an accident or an incidental car door ding. I tried to hold it together and make it seem like it was no big deal but she started crying because she knew how upset it really made me. After all the fun and excitement of her first Tiger Stadium experience and all the memories we made...I have a bad feeling that because of some A-holes little rock throwing party it will ruin her feelings about the whole night. I hope the jackholes who did it pay for this one way or another. Hopefully this will not ruin her memories forever or deter anyone from bringing their children. As for me...It will be a LONG LONG time before I pay another dime to see a game at Tiger Stadium.
It was really late when we got to my car and there were no others close to mine...not sure if I was the only one in my section or not.
That really is a terrible ending to an otherwise great time with you and your daughter. Do you have a lot of opposing schools decals on your car or truck? I don't understand why your vehicle would get vandalized AT LSU. I'm guessing some LA Tech punks. Which is funny, as if they thought that they actually had a chance to do anything but get blown out... Sorry that that had to happen to you though.
That really sucks. Sorry to hear it. I hope when I have kids (my wife's pregnant with our first) that I'll be able to keep it together in front of them in those situations. Kids are resilient, I'm sure she'll be fine.
Hmmm, not to rub it in, but that could be the culprit. I'm always eager to get back to my vehicle ASAP when I know I parked in areas that clear-out quickly. I don't like leaving anything vulnerable to drunk idiots walking around. Again, it's a terrible incident. :angryfire
I seriously doubt it was LaTech fans. That would mean there was LaTech fans that actually cared enough to attend a game.
That's why I asked about any questionable decals, I don't think LSU fans would do that to another fan's vehicle. You don't have any Clinton or Obama stickers on there do ya? I kid, I kid...
We had some setup by us, and they seemed to just be happy to be out there and having a good time. They even took pictures with the Bulldog mascot pinata before we destroyed it! We are quick to blame other fans and without getting into a huge thing, there are some people in this world that feel the need to destroy things of others to make themself feel better OR and this is worse to ENTERTAIN themselves.
