And by "miss the game", I mean that I won't even be at home for it to get it on PPV. One of my good friends is getting married in Jackson, Mississippi. I'll be out of pocket from about 4:30 until at least 9:00pm if not later. I'll be in a car for a good portion of that, so it MAY be possible to catch some of it on the radio. I live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, so my normal protocol here would be to listen to it over internet radio or get it on TigerVision, but neither of those will be possible. Any suggestions on what to do? Is there a way to "record" internet radio to listen to it later?
Invest in an XM radio. They have portable ones that you can listen to like your iPod or you could get one installed in your vehicle. Don't forget that you'd have to pay for the receiver, the cost to get it installed, and the monthly fee once you activate it. That's the only idea I can think of.
By the way that you typed your post, I can tell you will be sick on Saturday. Too bad you have to miss your friend's wedding.
I hate to ask the most obvious question, but your firend isn't a LSU fan or better yet a football fan? If he/she is and they still planned thier wedding on Football Saturday they aren't real friends so SKIP IT!!!
I your time of need, don't forget about that other friend who spared you and got married in early July. :hihi:
You will be able to pick it up on WWL easily out of New Orleans, I know Tigers in St. Louis who can pick it up. And I even get it here in Memphis. Its 880, right? Plus, call this number during the wedding to listen to WWL live. I had to do this for the second half of the Arizona game last year, luckily the outcome had already been decided! Here's the number: 504-593-2156 :geauxtige
No, she's not an LSU fan. She's not even a football fan. She went to Millsaps College. I know her because she was my roommate for two years when we were in law school together. I really can't say much to criticize. My wedding was on a football Saturday (Auburn game, 2004), but I had the decency to have the whole thing over before the game started. The story of my wedding is a very very interesting story, btw. I had to re-plan the entire thing for an entirely different city on less than one week's notice because of Hurricane Ivan. The thing was supposed to be in Mobile, Alabama but Ivan came through that town about 2 or 3 days before the wedding. We moved the whole thing to North Alabama starting the Monday before the Saturday wedding after the thing had been scheduled in Mobile for over a year. It was a nightmare, but we got it done.
I appreciated that very much. By the way, my brother Daniel is getting married early next year. His future wife wanted to have the wedding right on New Year's Day. She's not a football fan either. It had to be explained to her that if she had the wedding on New Year's Day, a lot of football fans would send their regrets about being unable to attend. If you had it the day of an LSU bowl game, almost no LSU fans would attend. She backed down.
Presuming you can get Tigervision, record it either with a Tivo/ddr or the old fashion way, with a vcr.
