I'm sitting here at work in Dallas and you'd think that the OU/TX game tomorrow was the national championship. This will be the first, and only, quality opponent either team has scheduled. Texas beat a weak rebuilding Arkansas team and OU hasn't beaten absolutely no one. These Big 12 people actually think there conference is better than the SEC. I try to reason with them but they honestly believe that in their heart. I guess I have to give them some credit for there spirit unlike SMU fans that just bad mouth their school and never even attend the games.
all ive heard up hear all week is about that game. the little dozen has some good teams this year. i'll give them that. but there is no news i guess. except for this game.:rolleye33:
I live in IL. and all I hear about is how good Mizzou is. Mizzou as not played a quality opponent either. And they do think that the little 12 is better than the SEC. It makes me so mad so I am going to Mizzou vs OSU game this weekend in hope to see them lose LOL. :geaux:
Pharpe, I think the Big 12 is the most legit out of all the other conferences outside of the SEC. I also don't think that it's too farfetched for there to be "excitement" over the game--it's a big deal. And, yes, mainly because neither has really been tested. Is it, or should it, be more important than LSU-UF? If Florida was undefeated, it'd be gameday But Florida blew it against Ole Miss. At least OU or UT have the argument that they haven't blown it against similar opponents--no offense to Ole Miss. Nutt has them playing well.
I heard on the radio that they had one team in the top 50 overall defenses at the end of last season.
